Energy Efficient Glass
With ever increasing energy bills it is important to ensure your home is as energy efficient as possible. In our double glazed units we use Planitherm which is the market leading energy saving window glass that uses advanced coatings to retain warmth in the home whilst capturing heat from natural daylight.
This means your home will be warmer and heating bills lower compared to standard double glazed windows.
To ensure ultimate efficiency we use low iron glass on the outside of the unit, Planitherm Total Plus on the inside, a Warm Edge Spacer bar and the unit is filled with 90% argon air.
Double Glazed Unit with Planitherm
A staggering 26% of all domestic heat loss escapes through windows*. Choosing new windows with PLANITHERM energy efficient glass will reduce the energy consumption when compared with standard window glass and frames, whilst also reducing your heating bills.
** 22% savings are typical but each home will vary. Example is for a semi-detached, 3 bedroom UK home saving £179 per annum for an A rated window (source Glass & Glazing Federation and Energy Saving Trust) with an annual gas bill of £800 (source: Department of Energy and Climate Change).
Free Solar Heat Gain
PLANITHERM uses advanced coating technology to capture warmth from natural daylight to help heat the home
The advanced coating reflects heat back into the room, meaning less energy is needed to heat the home to the desired temperature
Triple Glazed Units
Triple glazing is well established in many parts of Europe and is becoming increasingly popular in the UK. The windows are more energy-efficient than modern double glazing. The additional pane of glass and gas filled cavity provides enhanced insulation.
Triple glazed windows can also provide outstanding acoustic performance, minimising noise levels from outside. This could benefit you if you live close to a road or in a densely populated area.
